An Idea....

Hello, world. I am a single (divorced) mom. I struggle in this economy like you wouldn't believe, as I am sure many do. I am constantly coming up with ideas to better our world, and my life. This was one of my first ideas. If I could reach lots of individuals, we could all help each other. Maybe I am $100.00 short on my rent this month, and you have an extra $100.00. Maybe Jane Doe has a brand new tube of lipstick, and Sue Smith needs just a tube of lipstick to give her the confidence needed to ace that job interview. But how can I put it all together? It will have to be a continual work in progress.

I have decided to start with an ecommerce website. I believe we all struggle most with our largest bill - rent. My idea is that everyone gives $2.99 or more, if possible, to submit a VERY short story to my website. We can judge the stories as a community, and the winner will receive an amount equal to their rental payment as a prize for being selected.

It will not be a drawing to be chosen by selecting a name from a hat. It will not be a raffle. It will be a community of people trying to help each other in such difficult times. It will be based on the number of people who submit. If 3000 people submit, obviously there will be multiple stories chosen.

I think our nation is a group of awesome individuals that are more than willing to help each other out. We help so many other nations. Why not our own? We just need that link to reach each other. I hope to be that link. We can do this. It can grow to be one of the best programs ever. I am confident we can do this.

The stories, I think, should be a short story of your current situation. Mine will be posted in another blog entry so there is a guide of sorts. As we grow and get more followers or members, we can add lots more to our community. I am currently building the website and will post the address of the site within a couple hours.

I want to make a change for the better for many lives. Let's Help Each Other through these difficult times.
